FAQ
What Can I expect during My session?
On your session day, I will capture individual portraits of you, your family and your pet (if applicable) as well as group photos in a variety of poses. I like to capture a mixture of formal and semi-formal poses as well as candid and more relaxed photos so my clients have a wide selection of photos to choose from.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Alexandria, VA and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story and you live more than 20 miles outside of the 22302 zip code, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. Please email me to schedule a consultation so we can discuss your needs.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all of your photos within a maximum of 3 weeks (sometimes less depending on the length of our session). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
For a 1 hour session, you will receive between 20-30 edited images in an online viewing gallery where you can select images to include in your package or purchase a la carte. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story.
What is the difference between copyright and print release?
It is industry standard for the photographer to maintain the copyright over their images unless the photographer transfers ownership of copyright in a written contract.
A print release gives the client limited access to their images. They can use them for their personal reasons and nothing else. With a print release a client can print their images as often as they like, share photos on social media, tag people and add them to galleries. They can enjoy the photos as much as they like. Clients cannot, however, edit images, submit them for personal gain or publication, sell them online, or take credit for the photos.
